You'll be part of a technology function that supports multiple delivery teams through a growing enterprise DevSecOps platform ecosystem, enabling software development, code quality management, application security testing and automated delivery practices across the organisation. Based in Pretoria, you'll play a key role in ensuring these platforms remain secure, stable, compliant and fit for purpose.

 

As the DevSecOps Platform Operations Specialist, you'll take ownership of the platforms that underpin software delivery. This is not a traditional DevOps engineering role; instead, you'll focus on operational ownership, platform stability, governance, security and continuous improvement.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Own and support the enterprise DevSecOps platform ecosystem.
  • Manage platform health, availability, performance and operational stability.
  • Administer user access, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) controls and governance processes.
  • Coordinate upgrades, patching, certificate management and platform maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot platform and integration issues impacting software delivery teams.
  • Manage service accounts, credentials, API tokens and secrets.
  • Maintain operational documentation, runbooks and support processes.
  • Support audit readiness through evidence management and compliance reporting.
  • Drive platform standardisation, continuous improvement and operational best practices.

 

OUR REQUIRED EXPERTISE

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science or similar qualification preferred
  • 5–8 years' experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Platform Operations or Technology Operations
  • Strong experience administering GitLab for source code management, CI/CD pipelines and developer access management
  • Experience using SonarQube to monitor code quality, technical debt and development standards
  • Experience with Fortify security scanning and testing tools used to identify, monitor and manage application vulnerabilities
  • Experience with JFrog Artifactory (or similar repository management platforms) used to securely store, manage and distribute software packages and application releases
  • Understanding of RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and access governance to ensure users have appropriate levels of system access
  • Experience supporting an enterprise DevSecOps platform ecosystem, including platform integrations, monitoring, upgrades and operational support
  • Knowledge of software delivery, application security and platform governance principles
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement
