A top Telco networking hub is building its next generation of AI capability — and are on the lookout for a smart and knowledgeable Intermediate AI Engineers to join the transformation. You'll help build production-grade AI systems for one of South Africa’s leading ISPs, working across the full AI stack: data engineering, machine learning, MLOps, LLMs, cloud infrastructure, and internal AI platform tooling.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Train and deploy ML models (NLP, vision, generative AI)
- Build APIs and microservices for AI deployment
- Design scalable data pipelines (SQL/NoSQL/vector DBs)
- Contribute to CI/CD, model monitoring, and retraining
- Work with cloud infra (AWS, GCP, Azure), Docker & Kubernetes
- Help build AI platform tools and internal workflows
- Translate business problems into real-world AI solutions
- Build AI systems with real-world use cases and business impact
- Hands-on work with LLMs, RAG, vector DBs, MLOps, and prompt engineering
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams
- A launchpad into specialised AI engineering paths — ML, platform, data, or MLOps
OUR REQUIRED EXPERTISE
- Bachelor's or Honours in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or similar
- Cum Laude or strong academic record
- 3 years or more experience - Python + SQL, Git, and ML/AI knowledge
- Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Skilled in AI engineering and end-to-end delivery
Bonus points for:
- ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), LLM tools, or MLOps platforms
- Hackathons, Kaggle comps, GitHub projects, or AI-focused final year work
