An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Solution Architect to join a leading financial services organisation that is committed to innovation and technology excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise technology solutions, influence architectural direction and contribute to large-scale digital transformation initiatives. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will define solution architectures that align with strategic business objectives while ensuring scalability, security and long-term sustainability.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and deliver end-to-end solution architectures that align with business and enterprise technology strategies.

• Evaluate business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure and sustainable technical solutions.

• Define solution roadmaps and support the implementation of enterprise architecture initiatives.

• Ensure architectural consistency by promoting the reuse of technology components and adherence to architecture standards.

• Produce solution designs and technical specifications to support successful project delivery.

• Collaborate with development teams, business analysts and project stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that support business objectives.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance during solution design, implementation and deployment.

• Conduct architecture reviews, impact assessments and risk analysis for new and existing solutions.

• Support business continuity, application security and disaster recovery initiatives.

• Contribute to architectural governance and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and best practices.

• Build strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders to ensure technology solutions continue to meet evolving business needs.

OUR REQUIRED EXPERTISE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering or a related field.

• TOGAF certification (or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification).

• Honours or Master's degree would be advantageous.

Experience

• 5–7 years' experience in an IT technical specialist or Solution Architect role.

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale technology solutions within medium to large organisations.

• Previous experience within the financial services or banking sector would be advantageous.

• Proven experience developing and maintaining solution architecture roadmaps.

• Experience applying architecture governance frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.

• Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.

• Experience working with highly scalable, secure and high-performing applications.

• Exposure to project delivery and cross-functional technology teams.

Technical Skills

• Enterprise and Solution Architecture.

• Architecture governance frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman or similar).

• Systems integration and RESTful APIs.

• Application security and identity management.

• Cloud and enterprise infrastructure concepts.

• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).

• Software design patterns and architectural best practices.

• Understanding of technologies such as Java, .NET, JavaScript, SQL, Node.js or similar enterprise technology stacks.

• Strong technical documentation and solution design capabilities.
