An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Head of Operations to join a global, customer-centric organisation that is redefining logistics and supply chain operations. You'll play a pivotal part in building, scaling and optimising a best-in-class last-mile delivery network.

This is not a business-as-usual operations role. You'll have the opportunity to shape operational strategy, build high-performing teams and drive operational excellence across a rapidly growing network. Working within a fast-paced, data-driven environment, you'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer experiences while continuously improving operational performance.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the launch, development and scaling of last-mile delivery operations.

  • Take ownership of end-to-end operational performance, including on-time delivery, customer experience and operational efficiency.

  • Build, lead and develop high-performing operational teams, including frontline managers and site leaders.

  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement across the operation.

  • Analyse operational and network performance data to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.

  • Optimise operational costs while improving service delivery and network performance.

  • Partner with Finance, Transportation, Planning and other business functions to deliver strategic initiatives.

  • Manage workforce planning, operational capacity and resource allocation.

  • Support network expansion and new operational launches.

  • Lead operational reviews and contribute to strategic planning through data-driven insights and performance reporting.

OUR REQUIRED EXPERTISE

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in logistics, supply chain or operations leadership.

  • Proven experience building, scaling or transforming operational functions.

  • Strong leadership experience managing multi-layer operational teams.

  • Demonstrated success improving operational performance metrics and driving continuous improvement.

  • Experience within fulfilment, distribution, transportation or last-mile delivery environments would be highly advantageous.

  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma or other operational excellence methodologies is beneficial.

Key Competencies

  • Strong people leadership and coaching capabilities.

  • Data-driven decision-making and analytical thinking.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

  • High levels of ownership and accountability.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to perform effectively within fast-paced, high-growth environments.

  • Passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.

YOUR REWARD

  • Competitive salary package depending on experience.

  • Opportunity to play a key role in building and scaling a national last-mile delivery network.

  • Exposure to a fast-paced, innovative and customer-focused environment.

  • Career growth within a globally recognised organisation committed to operational excellence.
