An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced EIM Data Analyst (Discovery & Profiling) to join a large-scale enterprise information management and transformation programme within a highly regulated environment based in Centurion.
This role forms part of a strategic data and information management initiative focused on improving enterprise data visibility, strengthening data governance practices, and establishing trusted, well-governed data assets to support business decision-making and operational excellence.
You will play a key role in discovering, profiling, analysing, and valuing enterprise data across complex business domains while helping shape how critical information is managed throughout its lifecycle.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Discover and analyse enterprise data assets across business domains using structured data discovery techniques
- Profile and assess data assets to determine sensitivity, quality, context of use, and legislative requirements
- Define and implement standards, guidelines, processes, and procedures for enterprise data analysis activities
- Establish relationships between data elements and assess business impact across systems and processes
- Conduct detailed data analysis to classify and categorise enterprise information
- Apply data valuation methodologies to determine business importance and opportunities for data reuse
- Generate regular reporting and actionable insights to support data domain management and decision-making
- Provide inputs relating to legislative requirements, sensitivity classifications, and access controls across data lifecycle processes
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to strengthen enterprise information management capabilities
- Support data governance and information management maturity across the organisation
- Contribute to business analysis deliverables and enterprise transformation activities
OUR REQUIRED EXPERTISE
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Informatics, Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Data Management Certification (e.g. DAMA CDMP) advantageous
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in Business Analysis environments
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within Information Management or Enterprise Information Management environments
Strong experience in:
- Data Discovery and Profiling
- Enterprise Information Management (EIM)
- Information Lifecycle Management (ILM)
- Data Governance and Data Quality
- Data Classification and Data Valuation
- Business and Functional Requirements Analysis
Exposure to:
- Agile delivery methodologies
- Enterprise transformation programmes
- Data Quality tooling and reporting solutions
- Strong capability in stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and workshop delivery
KEY DELIVERABLES
- Develop Business Cases and Business Analysis Work Plans
- Produce Business Requirements and Functional Specifications
- Create Information Matrices and User Stories
- Support Change Requests where applicable
- Participate in Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing activities
- Produce Business Analysis reporting, metrics, and feedback outputs
- Review training documentation and support adoption initiatives
