You’ll be the strategic partner to the CEO, leading a lean finance team, and driving decisions that fuel scale, efficiency, and sustainability. Think of it as being the architect of financial clarity in a start‑up that’s pushing boundaries.

 

 

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Turn complex financial results into clear, actionable insights
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and management accounts with precision
  • Keep tax compliance and statutory reporting sharp and on point
  • Build and refine internal controls, systems, and processes that scale
  • Deliver monthly and annual reports in line with IFRS (no surprises, no delays)
  • Lead external audits with confidence and finesse
  • Run financial modelling and scenario analysis to guide growth decisions
  • Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and execs to keep the business moving
  • Mentor and upskill your team — because great leaders build great teams

 

OUR REQUIRED EXPERTISE

 

  • CA(SA) qualification (non‑negotiable)
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Strong IFRS, tax, and governance knowledge
  • Hands‑on with Pastel, advanced Excel wizardry, and BI tools
  • Experience in Media or FinTech? That’s a bonus
  • Proven leadership chops — hiring, mentoring, and building high‑performing teams
  • Ability to zoom in on detail and zoom out to strategy seamlessly
