We're partnering with an innovative health-tech company building advanced Agentic AI systems that are transforming healthcare administration in the United States. Their mission is clear: reduce the administrative burden on doctors through safe, reliable, and clinically accurate AI — giving healthcare professionals more time to focus on patient care.

We're looking for a Senior Back End Engineer / Agentic Systems Engineer to help architect and scale the backend intelligence powering these systems. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of AI engineering, backend systems, and real-world healthcare outcomes.

WHAT YOU WILL BE BUILDING

• Production-grade LLM agent runtimes built for scale, resilience, and secure execution
• Platform observability including logging, tracing, latency analysis, usage, and cost monitoring
• EHR integrations with systems such as OpenEMR, Epic, and other healthcare platforms
• Speech-to-text pipelines supporting clinical and operational workflows
• Shadow deployments, canary releases, rollback strategies, and production hardening controls
• Secure cloud environments supporting healthcare-grade compliance expectations
• Integration architecture connecting AI systems to real-world product workflows
• Technical standards, delivery priorities, and engineering direction for platform growth

OUR REQUIRED EXPERTISE
 

• Strong Python backend engineering expertise
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI system evaluation
• Experience building APIs, distributed systems, and scalable backend services
• Strong understanding of async runtimes and production reliability
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (GCP preferred)
• Ability to design benchmarks, testing frameworks, and quality controls
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
• Healthcare, medical coding, or clinical informatics exposure highly advantageous
• PhD / advanced research background in AI, NLP, or related field strongly preferred
