Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY THAT AWAITS YOU

We are looking for a Delivery Manager – Digital Enablement to act as the execution partner to the Head of Digital Enablement. This role is central to ensuring alignment, momentum, and delivery discipline across five interconnected technology domains: Service Delivery, Cloud & Infrastructure, Digital Workplace, Digital Employee Experience, and Identity & Access Management (IDAM).

This person will operate as the connective layer between strategy and execution, ensuring that priorities are clear, delivery is predictable, and leadership has accurate, data-backed visibility of progress.

You will help translate a large and complex roadmap into structured execution, while maintaining focus on outcomes, dependencies, and delivery health.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as the “right hand” to the Head of Digital Enablement, ensuring the five teams remain aligned and delivery commitments are met
  • Maintains rhythm and cadence across multiple teams, ensuring consistent delivery governance and execution discipline
  • Drives end-to-end delivery of selected cross-functional initiatives, including (but not limited to):
    • Modern Workplace 2.0 rollout
    • Omada to Lumos migration for access review automation
  • Builds and maintains a performance and measurement layer that explains delivery status through data, not opinion
  • Supports prioritisation of a complex roadmap, helping define what is delivered now, what is deferred, and why
  • Supports Project Aurora milestone tracking and execution governance
  • Prepares executive-level reporting, dashboards, and townhall content in partnership with leadership
  • Ensures delivery accountability across team leads without introducing unnecessary process overhead
  • Manages cross-team dependencies and actively resolves execution blockers before they escalate
  • Translates technical progress into clear business outcomes for senior stakeholders and investment leadership
  • Supports vendor and partner coordination where external delivery is involved

Additional responsibilities (critical but implicit in the role)

  • Designing and maintaining delivery governance frameworks (RAID logs,
  • milestone tracking, dependency management)
  • Monitoring delivery health across teams and identifying early warning signals
  • Supporting benefits tracking and value realisation (ensuring delivery translates
  • into measurable impact)
  • Ensuring adoption and change readiness for key digital initiatives (not just
  • technical completion)
  • Managing reporting consistency across teams to ensure a single version of truth
  • Supporting capacity planning discussions across multiple delivery streams
  • Driving continuous improvement in delivery practices across the function
  • Acting as a key escalation point for delivery risks and inter-team conflicts

OUR REQUIRED EXPERTISE

  • Proactive mindset: anticipates issues early and presents options, not just problems
  • Strong data capability: comfortable building dashboards, defining KPIs, and validating data integrity
  • Strong delivery judgement: understands what good execution looks like in complex environments
  • Confident communicator: able to challenge senior stakeholders constructively and clearly
  • Strong written communication skills for executive-level reporting
  • Experience working in multi-team technology environments with interdependent delivery streams
  • Strong systems thinking: understands how changes in one area impact others
  • Comfortable working in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
  • High emotional intelligence: able to read context, influence effectively, and adapt approach accordingly

Technical capability required

While this is not a hands-on engineering role, strong technical literacy is essential:

Data & reporting

  • Advanced understanding of KPI design and performance metrics
  • Experience with BI tools/Dashboarding (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and identify inconsistencies
  • Understanding of delivery analytics (velocity, throughput, cycle time, predictability)

Delivery tooling

  • Strong working knowledge of Jira / Azure DevOps or equivalent
  • Exposure to Service Management tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
  • Experience with Agile / Scrum / Kanban delivery environments

Technology literacy

  • Understanding of cloud environments (Azure / AWS concepts)
  • Awareness of identity and access management principles (IDAM)
  • Familiarity with enterprise digital workplace tools (Microsoft 365 ecosystem advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of system integration and API-driven environments

Operating model knowledge

  • Experience in scaled delivery environments (multiple teams or squads)
  • Understanding of roadmap planning, portfolio management, or programme delivery structures
  • Ability to operate across both technical and business stakeholders

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Delivery across all five domains becomes predictable and transparent
  • Leadership has clear, data-backed visibility of progress and risk
  • Dependencies are actively managed rather than reacted to
  • Roadmap execution is prioritised effectively and aligned to business outcomes
  • Teams operate with clearer cadence, accountability, and reduced friction
  • Strategic initiatives are delivered with improved speed, quality, and adoption
