What you’ll be doing if you get the job:
As a member of our team, the primary focus of your role is to be responsible for the design and
development of software requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
You’ll work closely with our Application Foundry team which is made up of Developers, Testers and
Business Analysts, and you will also be involved with facilitating JAD sessions, reviewing and
mapping business processes, compiling specifications and sharing information with our development
team.
Who’ll you report to:
You’ll be based within our Information and Communication Technology division at our Sandton,
Johannesburg head office. You’ll report to the ICT Manager: Development.
Your qualifications:
• You must have passed Grade 12 / Matric with an achievement symbol of no less than C for higher grade Maths
• You must have an accepted Business Analysis Course or a Tertiary Computer Science qualification, or its equivalent
Your experience:
• You must have 2 to 5 years’ experience in this discipline • You must be able to write requirement specifications and conduct JAD sessions at senior
stakeholder level • You must have In-depth experience in design and development of solutions for own
developed financial/insurance products • You should have experience as a Technical Business Analyst
Your knowledge
• Technologies: SQL, UML, XML, Microsoft Office • Other: Software architecture, facilitating JAD sessions, UML data modelling techniques,
BPMN Process Design, Industry compliance standard and legislation • Understanding of technical implementation of functionality • Ability to test functionality at a database level (SQL knowledge) • Accomplished level of competency in the following:
a. Analysis and modelling of business processes b. Writing requirements specification for medium to large sized Information Systems c. Track record in Software Requirements Development d. End-to-end experience of the project lifecycle e. Experience interacting directly with end users
